Meet Betsy
Betsy Smith, P.E.
Betsy Smith is a Florida Licensed Professional Engineer and the founder of B.A. Smith Consulting, LLC. She earned her Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering from Princeton University in 2007 and has spent her career focused on building envelope science along the Gulf Coast.
Her practice covers the full spectrum of building envelope work — from waterproofing and restoration design to Florida's state-mandated Milestone Inspections and Structural Integrity Reserve Studies. She has served as an expert witness in construction defect litigation and provided owner's representative services on complex restoration projects.
Betsy is an active member of the Destin community, coaching youth soccer and little league. She brings the same commitment to her clients: showing up, doing the work, and delivering results that matter.
